Westbury Care Home provides care for people with general and dementia nursing care, while the Westbury Garden Suite, in a separate building on the same site, welcomes residents with residential needs.

We also provide respite care for those needed a short term stay.

You are welcome to come and visit us at any time. Give us a call us to book in for a tour of the home and to meet the home manager and our wider caring team – 0117 911 0213.

Moving into a care home is a significant step, and we take great care to make the transition as smooth and welcoming as possible for both new residents and their families.

Every new resident is personally greeted by our home manager and senior team before being introduced to the wider caring team and The Westbury community. We encourage residents to bring personal belongings ahead of their move, helping us create a familiar, comfortable space that feels like their own from the very first day.

Before arrival, we put together a personal biography for each individual, enabling our team to connect meaningfully with new residents straight away and understand what matters most to them.

Our open door policy means visitors are welcome at any time. We keep families informed through regular updates, meetings and newsletters about life at the home.

Families and friends are also invited to join us for events and activities, from dementia education workshops to seasonal celebrations such as Veterans Day and Valentines’s Day.

Our aim is for The Westbury to feel like an extension of home, where families are as much a part of our community as the residents themselves.

At The Westbury, we believe every resident should live life on their own terms. We embrace a person-centred approach to activities, ensuring everyone has the chance to take part in things they genuinely enjoy.

Our activities are matched to residents’ interests and abilities, designed to keep minds active and encourage meaningful connections with others. Equally, if residents prefer peaceful time in their own room or quiet one-to-one time with a member of our caring team, we are always happy to accommodate.

Food at The Westbury is home-cooked, varied and nutritious. Our chef prepares all meals fresh on-site each day, offering residents a choice of dishes including their personal favourites. We cater for all dietary requirements and food intolerances, and our catering team makes it their business to learn each resident’s preferred meals, dietary needs and cultural preferences.

Drinks and snacks are available throughout the day, and family and friends are always welcome to join us for a meal.
